Ludum Dare 44

This was our fourth ever game jam that we participated in. We wanted to really challenge ourselves with this game jam and push what we thought we were capable of. We were determined to create a first person shooter game that utilized a basic navmesh to move our enemies towards our player and avoid obstacles at the same time, as well as a first person character controller and Cel shading to create a beautiful stylized environment, none of which we had ever used before. We believe that we pulled it off quite well and are very proud of what we achieved in this game jam.

You may also notice on the games page that this game was released three days after Neon Runner. Yes that is correct, we made two games in six days with half a days rest in between projects. To quote one of our lecturers: "You have to be really insane to want to make games everyday". And here at Project Pixel there is nothing we enjoy more than making games and seeing people react and enjoy what we create. We are the insane few who are constantly pushing ourselves to do better, develop better quality games and come up with crazier concepts.

People who worked on this project:

Tinyiko Mbenyane

Dylan Mitchell

Dylan Ramsden

Peter van der Merwe

You can download and try the game from our Games page.
